Town of Windsor Museum

Culture Aide

The Town of Windsor Museums’ mission is to build community through creativity and discovery. As part of the Culture Division of the Windsor Parks, Recreation, and Culture Department, the Museums consist of the Art & Heritage Center, the town’s original 1909 Town Hall that now functions as an exhibit and program space; and the Windsor History Museum, a collection of original buildings including the Town’s 1882 Train Depot, which houses historical exhibits. The Museums seek to provide exceptional educational and interpretive experiences focusing on local history, nature education, and art.

The Culture Aide will assist in the development, planning and implementation of the Town of Windsor Museums’ educational and interpretive programs and events. With the assistance of Culture staff, the Culture Aide designs and facilitates history, art, and environmental education programs and tours for a variety of audiences, including multigenerational families, school groups, and seniors. These range from an afterschool art program to costumed interpretive tours. Duties also include assisting Culture staff with museum open hours, special events, exhibits, and other activities within the Art & Heritage Center and Windsor History Museum facilities. The Culture Aide provides excellent and friendly customer service to every person who visits the Museums.
