The Visitor Services Manager at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art is a 1-year position, with the possibility of renewal, depending on performance and available funds. This position is responsible for visitor safety and the safety of art objects and serves as the public face of the museum, greeting visitors, explaining the museum’s rules in a friendly and inviting manner, and answering visitor questions.
This position also manages the museum front desk, recording attendance, answering phone calls, returning voicemails, scheduling tours, overseeing check-in for reserved events, handling sales in the museum store, monitoring security cameras when visitors are present in the galleries, and monitoring visitors in person, as required. This position also hires, schedules, and supervises student gallery attendants, as well as assists the director with administrative tasks, as time allows.
