CWAM Board Election News
This has been an unprecedented year, and as many of you know in the interest of health and safety, the CWAM Board voted to cancel our 2020 Annual Meeting in Alamosa, CO. As a result, we were unable to hold board elections in person this year. Board elections are held during the Annual Meeting so that attending members have an opportunity to take part in the election process for the people who will serve CWAM. After much consideration and research, board members agreed to hold an online election for the role of board president. The election was open to all current CWAM members and was open from August 15th through September 1st. Membership voted to elect Jessica Brunecky to remain in the role of President until we are able to hold full elections during the April 2021 Annual Meeting. In this role, Jessica will have the ability to appoint members into critical roles for temporary terms which will also expire at the April 2021 Annual Meeting. It would be impossible for the CWAM board to continue without an adequate number of board members.
If you have any questions about this decision for an emergency election procedure OR if you are interested in joining our board, in an elected, appointed or assigned role, please contact me at Secretary@cwam-us.org.
Thank you all and stay safe and healthy,
Alexis Grieve, CWAM Board Secretary
