Unpaid Registration Intern

Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) is searching for a qualified intern to assist with registration work in the Exhibitions Department. The Registrar Intern will primarily assist with tasks related to exhibition loans. Specific projects are not guaranteed. The intern’s activities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Create condition reports for all incoming and outgoing loans
• Photo documentation of all incoming and outgoing loans
• Digital image management
• Provide additional support and assistance as needed regarding exhibitions

• Organize Exhibition Department’s digital files
• Create inventory list of museum’s technologies and capabilities
• Organize Exhibition Policies and Procedures Manual

Education and Experience Requirements:
• Recent graduate or student seeking advanced degree in museum studies, art history, or appropriate field
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, databases, and other computer programs
• Familiarity with digital imaging, photography, and related equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, consistently responsible, and dependable

Hours & Schedule:
Working schedule will be determined between intern and the Exhibitions Project Manager. Intern will work an average of 8 hours per week beginning August 10, 2020. This is a semester-based internship.
