CWAM encourages, promotes, and provides networking opportunities to the membership including students, Emerging Museum Professionals (EMPs), and professionals in need of advice, assistance, or connection with other professionals in the museum field.
Annual Meeting Specialty Networking Opportunities
Welcome Reception: EMPs, students, or professionals considering a change in career path can sign up to be introduced to a professional in their area of interest at the Welcome Reception. It is a low key and friendly way to start the meeting and make a professional connection.
Meet-Ups: Annual Meeting Meet-Ups provide the opportunity for like-minded individuals to connect.
Keep an eye out for museum meet-ups in your area on the CWAM Facebook Page. There have been meet-ups in Northern Colorado, Alamosa, Cheyenne, Denver, and Trinidad just to name a few.
Having a meet-up for museum professionals in your area? Submit the event through the CWAM Submission Form to have it posted through the CWAM Facebook page. Please give at least 3 weeks for posting.
Informational Connections (Mentorship)
CWAM’s approach to mentorship is to create an informational connection between museum professionals and EMPs, students, or professionals considering a change in career path. Check out the CWAM Mentorship Page if you are interested in becoming either a mentee or a mentor.
